Acre Impact Capital wins the inaugural Global Trade Review (GTR) 'Industry Achievement Awards" for its contribution towards the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) white paper on Sustainability in Export Finance, co-authored with International Financial Consulting.
The new award, which featured at this year’s GTR Awards for the first time, recognises extraordinary achievement in the industry.
Developed with the support of The Rockefeller Foundation and 16 leading banks, the white paper explores how the US$700 billion export finance industry can significantly increase its contribution to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris climate accord.
Hussein Sefian, COO and Founding Partner of Acre Impact Capital said: "We are honoured to be recognised by GTR for its inaugural 'Industry Achievement Award'. In many ways, this speaks to the impact the white paper already had in shifting the dialogue - and financing flows - in the export finance market toward more sustainable projects."
Faisal Khan, CIO and Founding Partner of Acre Impact Capital said: "As impact investors, we look for ways to contribute to the growth and development of the industry. The white paper showcases how export finance can be a particularly effective vehicle for impact investors to channel capital towards high-impact essential infrastructure projects in emerging markets to the benefit of underserved populations."
